Getting an International License in Islamabad

  • Two passport-size photographs.
  • A copy of your driving license issued by the Islamabad Traffic Police.

Getting an International License in Punjab

First, book an appointment on the Rasta App. The appointment can be easily booked beforehand by the Punjab IT Board. The Rasta application can be downloaded on Apple and Android devices. Then, fill in the CNIC information and other details. After this, you can book an appointment at the licensing center that is nearest to you. You can even choose the time slots that suit you best. Also, select the purpose of the visit from the provided list.

The Rasta App can also be used for other convenient services like applying for a learner’s license and even dealing with matters related to the national driving license.

Required Documents

The completed application form must be submitted with the following documents:

  • Two attested passport-size photographs.
  • One attested photocopy of your (valid) CNIC.
  • A photocopy of your (valid) passport.
  • A photocopy of your (valid) national driving license.
  • Medical certificate (if applicable, for ages 50 and above).
  • A Rs. 66 ticket from the District Court.
  • A Rs. 450  fee voucher paid at HBL.

Applicants can save time if they already have a local driving license. If you already have a local driving permit, your new international license will be delivered within 24 hours. If not, you can visit the same licensing center and obtain your international license. However, delays of this sort are rare.

Getting an International License in Sindh

Applicants can visit https://dls.sindhpolice.gov.pk/home/app to apply for an international license. This website can be used to book an online appointment and even choose a center.

Citizens of Karachi should choose the Clifton or Nazimabad branches, and appointments for both these branches can be made online.

  • Two or three) passport-size photographs.
  • A photocopy of your driving license issued by the Sindh Police.
  • 1 photocopy of your license (valid) and visa (valid).
  • 1 photocopy of your CNIC.
  • Proof of residence in Sindh.

Getting an International License in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Applicants from Peshawar or other areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) can visit Tasneem Plaza near the Benevolent Fund Building. They are to visit Room number 11 on the second floor of the building in this regard.

Getting an International License in Balochistan

Applicants are to visit the Police Mobile Khidmat Markaz, and must have a local driving license to apply for an international permit. The processing fee includes Rs. 66 for the court fee ticket apart from Rs. 450 for the bank payment.

Required Documents

  • International application form within file cover.
  • Original CNIC
  • Attested copy of the CNIC.
  • Original driving license.
  • A copy of the driving license (valid) issued in Quetta.
  • Original passport.
  • A copy of your Pakistani passport (valid for at least six months) with the visa (valid).
  • Two attested passport-size photographs.

The international driving license will be delivered to the applicant within five days of the application.

Benefits

The international driving license contains all the necessary information about an individual. However, it cannot be used permanently as identification for the holder.
