3. Why the Increase?

The provincial cabinet, led by the Chief Minister, linked the fee hike to the operational costs of the new Digital Domicile Management System. This includes:

  1. Maintenance of the PITB digital infrastructure.

  2. Cost of high-security paper.

  3. Data hosting and SMS alert services for applicants.

4. How to Apply Under the New System

  1. Online Portal: Visit the official Punjab government web portal or use the Dastak App.

  2. Payment: Generate a PSID and pay the Rs 550 fee through e-Pay Punjab (Mobile App/ATM/Internet Banking).

  3. Verification: Complete the digital form and upload required documents (CNIC, utility bills, etc.).

  4. Delivery: Once verified, the document is printed on security paper and dispatched to your address.
